The Saint of PPE—Heroes of the Coronavirus Pandemic

Help Rhonda Roland Shearer Help Others

I’ve been wasting my time in a futile attempt to convince the conspiracy theorists, anti-vaccinators, and maniacal trump supporters that this virus is real—and dangerous. Since that isn’t working, I thought I’d focus on something more positive—heroes of the coronavirus pandemic.

I saw a story last night which mentioned a lady named Rhonda Roland Shearer, a New Yorker who has come to be known as the Saint of PPE.

This saint of PPE began her charity work after 911 by supplying equipment and supplies to first responders. She was dealing with an inadequate system that left medical personnel unprotected, so she took out a second mortgage for six hundred thousand dollar dollars to supply the front-line workers. She has been particularly conspicuous during this pandemic, being no less than a savior to some of NYC’s medical personnel.

But rather than me try to explain it, you can read about Rhonda Roland Shearer here. Be warned though, this links to the Washington Post which many ask you to sign up for a dollar in order to read. The Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, so I can’t blame him for wanting to stuff his pockets with even more cash. If he were a decent person, he’d take all the money he collects from anyone reading any of his articles and donate it to this wonderful woman.

And it’s not only her money that comes into play. This saint of PPE works tirelessly to provide the front-line workers with the supplies and equipment they need. I’m amazed that none of the billionaires have stepped up to support her, but knowing what I know about billionaires, I guess I’m surprised. But let’s show them we don’t need their money.

Rhonda Roland Shearer Has a Go-Fund-Me Page

Rhonda has a go-fund-me page where people can help. You can find it here.

I would love to contribute to this saint of PPE, but being on disability and still trying to support our animal sanctuary, I don’t have the money to help. However, if anyone contributes to her fund, I will give them any one of my books free (digital only).

I know these are hard times for everyone, but Rhonda Roland Shearer, the saint of PPE and truly one of the heroes of the coronavirus pandemic deserves a hand.

Please share this post so others might contribute.

And if you contribute, just email me here and tell me which platform you read on and which book you want. You can see my books here.

When Giacomo isn’t writing, he’s helping his wife take care of the animals on their sanctuary. At last count, they had forty animals—seven dogs, one horse, six cats, and twenty-five pigs.

Oh, and one crazy—and very large—wild boar, who used to take walks with Giacomo every day.
